Gionee’s Marathon series devices impress us through their big batteries, but it doesn’t only take a Marathon model to do that. The freshly certified Gionee M3S also has a very good battery and seems like a derived version of the Marathon M4.
This handset has been recently certified for use on Chinese carriers and it comes with Android 5.1 as the OS, plus the Amigo UI 3.1 on top. Inside we find a 64 bit quad core Snapdragon 410 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. Also on board there’s a 5 inch 720p display, plus an 8 megapixel main camera and a front 5 MP shooter. LTE Category 4 is here, with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
This model has dual SIM card slots of the microSIM type and also brings Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n and 1 GB of RAM. 16 GB of storage and finally the selling point, a 5000 mAh battery are all here. The handset comes in black or white and should be priced at around $263.
