After finding out about the existence of the dual battery phone Gionee M5 a few days ago, today it’s also certified by the TENAA authority. It’s very likely that this model will be unveiled next month, together with the Elife E8 next month.
The device stands out through a total battery capacity of 6000 mAh, through two separate batteries. It will measure only 8.6 mm, which is remarkable considering its battery power. The handset will also support hot swapping one of the batteries on the go, without having to shut down the phone. It’s also very possible that the phone will act as a power bank and charge up other devices.
Having a look at the specs listed by TENAA, we see that this unit weighs 213 grams and comes with a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen with 720p resolution. It also brings a quad core 1.3 GHz processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM and Android 5.1.0 as the OS. There’s 16 GB of storage here, a main 8 megapixel camera and a front 5 MP shooter. Notice that the handset’s screen also has a very narrow bezel.
