Gresso is a brand usually associated with luxury phones, made of precious materials and sold very well in Russia. Well, this week they unveiled a new model, called Gresso Regal R1, one that defies the concept of a luxury handset with a lower than usual price, but still pretty big.

It also brings a minimalistic design and the usual exclusive materials. Gresso Regal R1 adopts a rectangular monoblock look and the body is made of titanium, among other materials. The case takes about 9 hours to make the finishing of the shell takes 3 hours to do manually. The rear panel is polished via directional grinding. Gresso Regal R1 is also pretty thin for its range of products, measuring 8.8 mm in thickness.

It will be released in a limited edition of 999 units, with individual numbers engraved on the titanium case. The specs of the machine include a 5 inch Full HD display, a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. We also get a 13 megapixel main camera, a front 5 megapixel selfie shooter and a battery that provides about 6 hours of talk time. Android 4.2.1 is the OS here and apparently the chipset inside is a mystery.

By the way, the “affordable” price offered here is $1742, which is quite small considering the usual prices.
