Hosin unveiled yesterday a new MediaTek-based quad core smartphone dubbed V708T and pictured below. The newcomer has a pretty thin profile, measuring 8.1 mm in waistline.

I have to say that I’m surprised by how high the camera has been placed at the back of this device. This model comes with MediaTek’s MT6582 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz and other specs here include a 5 inch OGS screen with qHD resolution and oleophobic coating on top. We’ve also got 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of ROM and a microSD card slot.

At the back there’s an 8 megapixel camera with F/2.2 aperture, while upfront lies a 2 megapixel shooter. Inside the handset we find a 1800 mAh battery, that’s pretty underwhelming for a 5 inch device. The price tag should be around $247, according to rumors.
