Evan Blass has leaked a new HTC device and it’s not the HTC One M10/Perfume this time. Instead it’s a model he calls the “HTC A16”, with some serious design cues borrowed from HTC Desire models.
We’ve got the beefy main camera, plasticky body and the BoomSound speakers have been made more compact. Their holes are bigger and there’s fewer of them now. The most interesting aspect is the spotted texture of the chassis, replicated by the spotted wallpaper. We also get two mystery holes at the lower right corner.
They could be associated to a wireless charging pad or some special case and accessory. Judging by the name, the HTC A16 is a relative to the HTC One A9, but this may be just a codename for now. Does this mean the Desire series is gone? We’ll have to wait and see…
