After showcasing the HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 midrange phones at MWC 2014, the Taiwanese company may be preparing one more model of this kind. A leak made the new HTC D616w appear and it looks like a pretty solid midrange unit itself.

This is a 5 inch 720p smartphone with a dual SIM setup and an octa core CPU Inside. The handset has a 1.7 GHz eight core CPU, probably a MediaTek to keep the price low and other features include 1 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel main camera and a 2 megapixel front shooter. The OS here is Android 4.2.2 and we get GSM and WCDMA support.

This is a dual SIM dual standby device, that has yet to get a price tag or launch date. It seems to sport a plasticky case and ditch the BoomSound for separate speakers at the back. We can’t say if this unit has a microSD card slot or not, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
