A new mystery HTC phone has been certified by TENAA in China, going by the codename HTC D828w. This is expected to be a premium midranger, part of the Desire handset series.
The design looks pretty good even for a midranger, I have to say. It also looks pretty slim, I might add. HTC D828w packs a 1.5 GHz octa core processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a microSD card slot with support for up to 128 GB. While we don’t know who makes the CPU, it’s probably the regular Snapdragon 615. Other features include a 5.5 inch Full HD screen and a 13 megapixel back camera, plus a 4 MP front shooter.
That selfie camera is probably packing HTC’s Ultrapixel technology in the mix. Connectivity includes LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and all the rest, while the OS is Android 5.1. HTC D828w measures 7.9 mm in thickness and weighs 150 grams. It will debut in black, white, orange, gold, blue and red, starting off in China.
