HTC has debuted a new quartet of Desire series smartphones in USA, all of them with budget features and apparently prices too. We only have the specs for the newcomers, with the price tags being up for speculation right now. However I expect a pricing below $200 for all these models. The newcomers are HTC Desire 626, Desire 626s, Desire 526 and Desire 520.
They debuted through partnerships with US carriers, as shown by their brandings. All 4 handsets come with the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, clocked at 1.1 GHz, 4G LTE connectivity, microSD card slots, Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi. They also have in common the software, which is Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7.1 on top.
HTC Desire 626 brings 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 5 inch 720p screen and an 8 megapixel main camera, as well as a 5 megapixel front shooter, plus a 2000 mAh battery. Both cameras do 720p video capture. Desire 626s is a sort of “lite” version of the Desire 626, with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, a 5 inch 720p screen and 8 MP camera, plus a 2 MP front shooter and 2000 mAh battery.
Desire 526 gets the same storage, cameras and battery, but drops the diagonal to 4.7 inches and resolution to qHD. Then comes Desire 520, the most affordable of all, with a 4.5 inch FWVGA display, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. There’s a 2 MP front camera here, 8 MP back camera and a 2000 mAh battery. Availability hasn’t been revealed.
