HTC debuted a new phone in India, so aside from the Desire 820 and 820q, that were already available locally, the company also launched the budget unit Desire 516C. This is a dual SIM quad core phone, priced at just $211.
We’re dealing with a dual SIM and CDMA enabled version of the already appreciated HTC Desire 516 Dual SIM. The phone has been made available to buy from today with the above mentioned price tag on Snapdeal. This model comes with a 0.5 MP front camera, a downgrade from the HTC Desire 516’s 2 MP shooter at the front. The 516C also has dual SIM slots, runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and we have no idea when its software will be updated.
It comes with the famous HTC BlinkFeed homescreen, a 5 inch qHD display (LCD), a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 CPU and 1 GB of RAM. HTC Desire 516C has 4 GB of storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB, a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. The model packs a removable 1950 mAh battery, that should deliver up to 9 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 220 hours of standby.
