HTC recently confirmed for SlashGear that they’re going to release Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for a couple of models in their portofolio. These include popular phones like the HTC Desire, Desire HD and Desire Z, plus the brand new Incredible S.
The Gingerbread updates will come in Q2 this year and we remind you that HTC Desire launched with Android 2.1 and received the Android 2.2 update a while ago, so its owners should be familiar with the update process. It seems to be raining with updates, since recently the Samsung Galaxy S was also announced as ready for Android 2.3 and Nexus One got it as well, in a more evolved version (2.3.3).
