HTC’s hottest smartphone, the EVO 4G has just landed in Sprint’s offer a couple of days ago, being available for $199.99 on a two year contract. The main reason to buy this hot device? Well, you could love the 4.3 inch touchscreen, or Android 2.1 with HTC Sense interface, or maybe the WiMAX support…
Also, there’s an 8 megapixel camera at the back, with autofocus and flash, plus a secondary front-facing VGA camera for video calling. You can even use HTC EVO 4G as a mobile hotspot and it also comes with WiFi, GPS, a 1GHz processor, an FM tuner and HDMI out. Perfect? It sure sounds like it. This is the very best Android smartphone on the market right now.
However, battery issues are to be expected, as even HTC’s CEO Peter Chou admitted at the D8 Conference. The handset is able to reach theoretical speeds of 10 Mbps, although in real life they’re more like 3-4, but still the downloads should be fast enough, provided you get WiMAX coverage.
Too bad that carriers like Verizon, AT&T and a couple more are adopting LTE right now, so what about WiMAX in the future?
