Pocketnow has just managed to score the first press shot of the HTC EVO One, a model that doesn’t ring a bell to me. The device is supposed to come to Sprint tomorrow in an event held by HTC and Sprint together. The handset is the one in the middle of the photo below, right between the AT&T version of One X and the T-Mobile version of the One S.

Android Central has sources saying that the phone comes with a 4.7 inch 720p AMOLED display, that’s a pretty strange choice, considering the quality of the One X 720p Super LCD 2. Also, there’s an 8 megapixel camera on board of the HTC EVO One, LTE connectivity and a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual core processor. This will most likely be a hot device, maybe a localized version of the One X, or a related device. Wednesday the event I mentioned will take place, so be sure to check out all the sites reporting on the matter.

Right now, the smartphone sounds hot, but let’s see Sprint’s prices and contracts before becoming too happy. I also expect carriers in the USA to start offering the One X, One S and One V in the coming weeks, or at least some price tags and launch dates for them…
