It appears that HTC is finally on a good streak, since analysts and experts all expect them to post positive results for Q2 this year. They expect a 50% increase in sales sequentially, mostly because of the HTC One M8 and Desire 816 models.

In a recent research note, the folks of KGI Investment Advisory said that the latest HTC models unveiled last month will help the smartphone vendor increase its sales by 40 to 50% in Q2. This means that HTC is bound to turn a profit in the quarter that’s already started. Back in February, HTC anticipated consolidated sales for Q1, estimated around $1.12 billion.

That’s a decrease from Q4 2013, so a loss was projected for Q1. The reason for the positive prediction for Q2 is among others the warm welcome of the HTC Desire 816 in China, where it got millions of preorders and orders already. HTC One M8 is prepared to debut on over 200 carriers and retailers all over the world and its first reviews are positive, so expectations are great.
