Wow… an Android 2.1 update leaked online and for the very device we’ve been waiting to get such an update, HTC Hero. Who would have thought? Said leak happened courtesy of Sprint and no, this is not the official release, in case you’re wondering.
The software will still wipe your memory clean, so should better back up and hope for the best, specially considering that this is a leaked ROM we’re talking about. This update is Sprint-only, so folks using different carriers and a HTC Hero are out of luck.
Once again, this isn’t the final version, so be prepared for bugs, in case you download the ROM from here.
