This week was all about Microsoft and its announcement of the Surface Tablet and Windows Phone 8. The later caused quite a stir when it was unveiled that it will not be compatible with current WP models, including the Lumias. Well, now it’s time to start looking into the future, towards models such as those HTC newcomers detailed below.
HTC’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphones will be models called Rio, Accord and Zenith, according to a leak. The first two will hit the market in October, while Zenith is Q4 material, according to The Verge. Rio is an entry level handset with a 4 inch WVGA display, Qualcomm MSM8227 CPU and 512MB of RAM, the classical recipe for a midrange WP device. It also has 5 megapixel camera and for the other two units you can image a retooled version of HTC One S and One X, if you want an idea.
Accord is upper middle class, while the Zenith will be a full flagship unit, probably a quad core model. HTC Accord is said to feature a 4.3 inch 720p Super LCD 2 screen, 1GB of RAM, NFC and an 8 megapixel camera, while the Zenith has a quad core CPU, a 4.7 inch display and other than that the specs are similar. Nothing exciting here, honestly speaking…
