After finding out that the HTC One E9 was certified by the TENAA a few hours ago, it doesn’t exactly surprise us to learn that the Taiwanese firm has started sending out invites to a localized event. There will be a conference in China and media has started receiving the invites.
It’s all a bit strange, since the actually invitation says “2015.3.11 – 3.17”, so it may be the start of a teaser campaign of sorts, lasting about a week. It could be an exhibition in China, so we don’t know much. Sources talk about a Chinese version of HTC Sense for the HTC One M9 being launched at the event, or maybe the HTC One M9 Plus, that has been leaking again after MWC 2015.
However, in spite of all that an unveiling of the HTC One E9 remains the most likely. That model is expected to be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 processor, offer 3 GB of RAM and a main 20 megapixel camera. The price of $320 is also being thrown around by the media. By the way, this is actually a 5.5 inch phablet, not your average smartphone.
