Forbes is claiming that Sprint is readying a WiMAX phone, scheduled for release in this summer and we know that the device will most likely be HTC Supersonic A9292, pictured below. The handset should run Android 2.1, pack a 4.3 inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera and a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.

The specs of this fresh 4G phone look very much like the one of the HTC HD2, so the device will maybe get a Windows Phone 7 version, as well. Right now, Sprint provides WiMAX services in 27 US markets, but it plans on expanding to new grounds, like San Francisco, Washington and New York with the help of Clearwire.

Thus, before the year end, Sprint could provide WiMAX cover for up to 120 million people, a huge market open for the HTC Supersonic.
