HTC Touch HD will arrive on November 6th (pre-order) and in case you’ve been living under a rock the last month, we’re talking about a 3G smartphone with GPS and a large touchscreen (3.8 inches) with an impressive resolution (WVGA; 800 x 480 pixels).
It will be sold for about 649 euros, but it might get cheaper, once it reaches most famous carriers.
This iPhone 3G killer operates on quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) networks, GPRS, EDGE, 3G (900/2100 MHz), 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and HSUPA. Its specs list includes a GPS receiver, A-GPS, a Qualcomm MSM7201A processor running at 528 MHz, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus (no flash) and a VGA camera (0.3 megapixels) for videoconferencing.
Touch HD comes with 288 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and A2DP, WiFi 802.11 b/g, miniUSB 2.0 and a microSD slot. The long-awaited HTC smartphone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and also includes a battery (Li-ion; 1350 mAh) that lasts 5 hours in GSM talk mode, 6.5 hours in 3G mode and 16 days in standby mode.
