The image below is supposed to showcase the HTC W8, a new Windows Phone model with Verizon branding that should be coming soon. Keep in mind this is a mere speculative render, that puts Windows Phone on top of the HTC One M8 body, so it’s not the real W8.

@evleaks recently confirmed there will be W8 soon, but without revealing other details. It’s been a while since HTC launched a device with this OS on board and they’ll probably take advantage of the Windows Phone 8.1 release next month. All we know is that this model is coming to Verizon, it will be a flagship and if we look at the name, it may have some relation with the M8.

I expect a Snapdragon 801 here, 2 GB of RAM, a 5 inch Full HD screen and maybe a 4 Ultrapixel camera. It will be interesting to see how a physical camera button fits on a metallic body, but it’s also possible that HTC ditches metal in favour of plastic, something they liked to use on Windows Phone devices.
