We weren’t sure for a long time regarding Huawei’s products prepared for IFA 2014, but today we have a new piece of the puzzle. Last we heard, Huawei was preparing something special for September 4th, but there was 2 theories: Huawei Ascend Mate 7 or Ascend D7. Now it’s very likely the first one.
This new flagship has been confirmed by the press invites pictured above and below, together with a lot of symbols of fingerprints, confirming we’ll get a fingerprint scanner on this smartphone. Last we heard, the newcomer had been leaked in a few shots of its case, that looked a lot like HTC’s products. It actually resembles HTC One Max, a big phablet launched around the same time last year.
Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will also feature a 6 inch display, with either a Quad HD or Full HD resolution, or maybe both, a 13 MP back camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter, plus a Kirin 920 CPU. These are more speculations from the source than real specs, but they’re pretty realistic. We may also get 2 GB of RAM or 3 GB, LTE connectivity and Android 4.4 with the new Emotion UI 3.0 on board.
