Huawei’s hot Ascend P2 handset has been recently rumored to be an 8 core handset and now we have fresh pricing details on this model, plus a picture. The P2 leaked pics show us an elongated design of a device that we’ll certainly see at Mobile World Congress 2013 a few weeks from now.
Rumors say that this model will have a 4.7 inch Full HD display with a pixel density close to the one of the HTC M7. Sources say that the P2’s rear camera is a 13 megapixel one, capable of Full HD capture, but as you can see in the leaked pics, the source is obscuring the camera marking, so it may be even bigger than 13 MP.
The Ascend P2 is expected to drop at MWC at the end of the current month, being available in 1 GB RAM and 2 GB RAM options, apparently. Pricing is supposed to start at $481, which is not bad at all, especially if this model does end up packing an 8 core CPU, as rumored. I’m moderately excited about this phone, since an in house made Huawei 8 core CPU may not be as fast as you expect it to be…
