Huawei G7 Plus was unveiled last week and it has already received a quick review, that includes a series of hands on shots of the device. This affordable phablets has specs good enough to compete with the latest HTC Desire phones, but it looks a bit better than those.
An appealing aspect is the slim 7.5 mm profile here, while the CPU is a typical Snapdragon 615. We also get a fingerprint scanner at the back and a generous 3000 mAh battery. The handset weighs 167 grams and when tested in AnTuTu, it scored 36k points, while in Quadrant it got to 18k, decent results for a midranger.
Huawei G7 Plus also brings DTS Sound and its fingerprint scanner can be used to answer calls, as a shutter button and as a control system for the alarm. Interestingly, the review also mentions a special Good Food/Gourmet camera mode, that makes food shots look more appealing. There’s a sample of that below. Add to that a metal case and you get a very solid package at $330.
