Huawei is getting ready to bring the Honor 5X handset to USA on January 31st, which is tomorrow, with a price tag of $200. This device is the follow-up to the excellent Honor 4X and brings forth a phablet diagonal of 5.5 inches and a very solid specs package.
This model offers a Full HD resolution on an IPS LCD panel and relies on an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 3000 mAh battery. It has a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 MP front shooter. There’s a fingerprint scanner at the back and a dual LED flash for the main cam.
Huawei claims that the scanner can unlock the device using your print in a mere half a second. Honor 5X packs a microSD card slot with support for up to 128 GB of removable storage and has an aluminum alloy case. For $200, this sounds like a pretty good deal, unless you were expecting Android Marshmallow, since this model comes with Android 5.1.
