Yesterday we informed you that Huawei was preparing a phone launch for today and that came through over the past hours. The newcomer is dubbed Huawei X1 iQiyi and the last name is actually associated to an ad-supported television and movie portal, that includes high def and fully licensed content.
The device is pictured above and below and its back side reminds me of some of the MediaPad tablets from Huawei. This model comes with a 7 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display and a K910 processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s a 5 MP selfie shooter upfront, a 13 megapixel back camera and a built in 5000 mAh battery, that sounds pretty impressive, even for this diagonal.
Finally, the Huawei Honor X1 iQiyi has 4G network support and apparently its price is pretty good, at $323. Once you buy the phone, you get a iQiyi membership card, that’s worth about one tenth of the phone’s value in content. The CPU is a quad core 1.7 GHz unit and we’ve also got a microSD card slot inside the device. The main camera uses a wide angle lens.
