The current flagship Google Nexus device has got to be the Huawei Nexus 6P, judging by its specs. This model debuted with Android 6.0 Marshmallow last fall and it arrived on our test table recently. Priced at $499, the device is unboxed below.
Keep in mind we only have a test version of the device, so not all accessories are inside. We got the USB type C cable and a metal key used to prop open the SIM tray. This is the follow-up to the Motorola Nexus 6 and it comes in color choices like matte gold, graphite, frost or aluminum. Measuring 7.3 mm in thickness and weighing 178 grams, the device is quite beefy, even for a 5.7 incher.
This handset has a 5.7 inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, as well as a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, the same type of chipset seen on the OnePlus 2. Nexus 6P offers 3 GB of RAM, 32, 64 or 128 GB of storage and also brings a 12.3 megapixel back camera, plus an 8 MP front shooter. There’s an USB Type C port at the bottom, a fingerprint scanner at the back and 3 microphones in the mix.
The battery is a 3450 mAh unit and we also get Android Pay and dual front speakers. We can’t wait to test this product and see what it’s capable of, so we’ll be back with a full review soon. Here is the updated price at Amazon.
