The Huawei Nova handsets, focused on Beauty and Makeup features were launched last fall and it appears they’re gearing up for successors, judging by the latest leaks. The Huawei Nova 2 is a thing now, since the device has been certified by TENAA and it appears in official-looking pictures shown below.

The handset sports an antenna design similar to the one of the iPhone 7 and Meizu Pro 6, with the antennae pushed all the way to the top and bottom edge of the back side. We seem to be getting a rose gold metal body here, plus a 2.5D glass panel upfront. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the back and a dual camera is also there, with a pretty original placement.

Usually dual cameras are integrated in a sort of module or chamber together, separated from the rest of the back and they’re close to the device’s corners. On the Huawei Nova 2 the sensors are still separated and closer to the center of the back side. We have no idea what the specs are here, but I’m guessing the front camera will be special, since the first Huawei Nova was focused on Beauty and Makeup features.

Expect a Snapdragon CPU inside, like the first Novas.
