In order to make their latest flagship even more attractive, Huawei decided to launch a unique accessory for this phone, more precisely a special case that packs a 4.3 inch e-ink display. We’re talking about a case designed for the Huawei P8, a 5.2-inch device that packs an octa-core processor built in-house, 3 GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Even if the case will contribute a little bit on the phone overall thickness, it might offer a great functionality for interested user. We see that the case is a metallic one and that the 4.3-inch screen can show ebooks, the time, news and weather information. Basically, Huawei P8 becomes a device similar to the Yotaphone, that device with dual-displays.

This housing is developed by Oaxis and is called InkCase. The E-ink screen offers a 800 x 480 pixels resolution and anti-reflective coating that let us read text even in bright sunlight. The thickness of the Huawei P8 with the case placed on it will be around 10.4 mm. According to the company, the e-ink case will be sold starting next month in limited units.
