Huawei P9 Plus was announced back in April, together with the P9 and it’s the phablet version of the flagship, increasing the diagonal to 5.5 inches. It also brings 3D Touch support and it’s priced at around $800. This model gets unboxed by us in the video after the break.
Sold from May, this model has a box similar to the P9’s and inside we find headphones looking the same as they did for the past year for a variety of Huawei models, a charger with fast charge promise, USB Type C cable, metal key for the slots and a transparent plastic case. Huawei P9 Plus gets a Super AMOLED Full HD screen, instead of the LCD Full HD one from the P9 and uses 4 GB of RAM in tandem with the HiSilicon Kirin 955 CPU.
There’s also 64 GB of storage on board, a microSD card slot and a 3400 mAh battery. This phone measures 7 mm in thickness and weighs 162 grams, plus it has a dual 12 MP back camera with Leica tech and dual tone flash, as well as laser focus. From what I’ve learned, the front 8 MP camera should also bring laser focus.
This model runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest EMUI on top and offers an infrared port at the top, plus an USB type C at the bottom. We’ll be back with a full review before you know it and in the meantime you can find the updated price here.
