I’d say that Bluetooth 3.0 is pretty much obsolete technology right now, so I’m surprised to see it on a new smartphone. The model is called Yulong Smartfen Andromax G2 Limited and it’s a CDMA and GSM unit launched by Indonesia Smartfen.

The OS here is Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 200. This device’s CPU is clocked at 1.2 GHz and its display is a 5 incher with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution. There’s a 1.3 MP front camera and a 5 megapixel back shooter, plus Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi on board. We’ve also got 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, a 2000 mAh battery and the price is modest, at $93.

We write about sub $100 phones every day and every once in a while I find one that’s really appealing. I have to say this Indonesian device isn’t, although its design is a bit good looking. The speaker at the back seems pretty big, so at least it could make a good music phone.
