If you’re looking to be unique and hip, check out this Infobar C01 handset from Japan. This model has an interesting numeric keyboard with a marble tile-like display that could appeal to hipsters. It actually looks like a bunch of candy being placed below the pretty large display.
This model is found on local carrier KDDI au’s offer, the second largest operator in the country. Infobar C01 is a candybar unit with a customized UI for Android 2.3 and a 3.2 inch display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution. There’s also an 8 megapixel CMOS sensor camera on board, a digital TV tuner, e-wallet function and infrared connectivity. USB, a microSDHC card slot and Bluetooth 3.0 are all included in the specs list, as well as WiFi and CDMA/GPRS/GSM.
The device measures 12.3mm in thickness and weighs 106 grams, so it’s pretty light. The specs aren’t bad at all and for the right price I’d see this cellphone in the hand of teen or supermodel, or maybe singer. The problem here is that it’s too long (130mm) for my liking…
