Paul from Modaco developed a custom ROM that features IE Mobile 6, a pretty bold move, as Microsoft doesn’t allow separate downloads for Internet Explorer Mobile 6. We’ve already shown you the browser in action on HTC Touch HD, but you should know that installing the Modaco-tweaked software could damage your device, so better backup before upgrading.

The data loss caused by this ROM is a sure thing, so be careful when upgrading, as for the browser, it’s not much when compared to the likes of Skyfire, Safari and Opera Mobile 9.5, but still it’s a nice try.
