A day or two before the iPad 2 starts selling, we learn that iOS 4.3 was made available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. New features include WiFi Personal Hotspot, AirPlay in third party apps and some graphical improvements in the OS. The software was supposed to debut on March 11th, but here it is, earlier than we had hoped.
Just hit the update button and iOS 4.3 will install on your device, ready for you to use. As we mentioned, it brings a personal hotspot feature, turning the iPhone into a WiFi router for up to 5 devices. There’s also a new Facetime icon for the iPod Touch, iAds go fullscreen thanks to the update and right now, there’s no trace of support for the iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2G, if you’re wondering.
Other novelty includes the option to cancel App Store downloads, a new font for the Notes app and some design changes in the keyboard section. The iPad gets a sliding switch function change option (lock rotation/mute) and new gestures (4 and 5 finger gestures). Did you get your update already?
