Inside sources at Apple claim that iOS 4.3 has just went Gold and will become available pretty soon. By “pretty soon” we mean next week, on March 2nd, in the event that will also include the supposed debut of the iPad 2 tablet. Meanwhile, we’ve uncovered the following Apple patent sketch, showing a next generation iPhone with an eWallet icon that shows us some NFC love from the Cupertino giant.

We’ve previously heard that Apple was thinking about implementing this feature on a future handset, so this patent is all the more reason to believe so. It would follow the recent trend that was also seen in the Android and BlackBerry camp, with both supporting NFC. Will iOS 4.3 be the one to implement this feature?
