In what some say is a screenshot produced by TechCrunch, we spotted some new features that are part of iOS 5. These are two of the most discussed functions supposed to pop up in the new iOS: Twitter integration and a new notifications system.
As you can see, there’s a gray line showing us that we’ve been mentioned on Twitter, right at the top of the screen. That’s the same area that becomes blue when tethering and green when you’re on the phone, so making it gray is only a formality. However, we can’t help but wonder if this notifications bar will take us to the app it’s linked to or to a separate section intended for notifications only.
Imagine the anger of Google is Apple decided to implement a drag down menu that starts from the strip at the top and comes down on the entire screen… We could see another lawsuit, if this is the case. However, let’s not assume anything until Apple actually shows us something new.
