iPhone 3G tethering and a plan for the device were always in the rumour land, but now it turns out that we might be seeing such an offer via AT&T. Also, word’s out that the delay of this tethering plan was caused by AT&T’s network stability issues, so bad, bad carrier!

The strange thing is that the other AT&T customers who own non-iPhone handsets were able to access such plans, but it turns out that the great number of iPhone users could become a problem if they all decide to tether at the same time.

AT&T has surely done the math and decided that they network will be affected by the mass of customers trying the new plan… or will they?
