The rollout of the Apple iPhone 4S continues all over the world, with 20 more countries getting the handset. These include Brazil, where the 16GB version of the device goes for $1,410, a huge amount of money that I can’t even explain or justify through transport fees, since it’s still to the South of the Apple mother land.

The 20 countries where the latest iPhone debuted this week are Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and the Philippines. Prices for the device are very varied and include the huge amount mentioned above, that’s actually the highest of all countries. The 32GB and 64GB units go for up to $1,628 and $1,845 respectively, in case you’re wondering.

The folks in Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates can buy the phone from Apple directly online. Well, for comparison’s sake, in the US the iPhone 4S goes for $649/$749/$849 in the 16/32/64GB versions. I really can’t figure out that huge price in Brazil, especially with the new Apple factory in the country…
