This is the first time I’ve actually seen a real life handset made after the iPhone 5 leaks and renders…Of course, there are already a few iPhone 5 clones in China, but no one went through the trouble of cutting an aluminum block for them. This is where Giga Netzwerk from Germany comes into play and creates a wonderful prototype.
While we wait for the big iPhone 5 launch on October 4th, we spot this beautiful 4 inch iPhone, that sports a back design very similar to the iPad 2. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S II, this handset is incredibly thin, even reaching as low as 5.3mm in its thinnest point. The shape is the classic teardrop we’ve seen in so many iPhone 5 concepts.
Add to that a beautifully integrated 4 inch display, a case made with the aid of solid aluminum treated with glass pearls, a rounded design and an oval touch home button. The result is a device wider than the iPhone 4, packing a display with 960 x 5540 pixel resolution and a dual core Apple A5 CPU plus 1GB of RAM. At the back there should be an 8 megapixel camera, but that aspect hasn’t been finalized. Beautiful? And now let’s see the real thing!
