It seemed a rumour at first, but we finally have the confirmation that iPhone III, the new version of the handset coming this summer will support video recording natively and also pack video editing features.

The iPod Touch will also include these features and what you can see below is the interface of the video editing app, taken from iPhone 3.0 beta. Among the novelties present on the brand new handset there will be a digital compass, autofocus camera and voice control.

Will HD video also make the cut, or is it too much to ask from Apple?
