You must have heard that Apple has just made available the iPhone OS 3.0 for their famous handset and the iPod Touch. As one of the commenters on BGR claims, this software doesn’t bring support for multitasking, but what’s cool about the update is that it comes with copy/paste, MMS and tethering.

Last we heard, there were over 100 new features in iPhone OS 3.0, most of them ready to hit the iPhone 3GS and take advantage of its improved capacity. The upgrade also brings push notifications on a couple of apps and in other news, AT&T has just announced its new plans and policies for the iPhone 3GS.

AT&T offers early upgrade pricing only for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G and it turns out that the iPhone 3G customers eligible for upgrade in July, August and September will get the best upgrade pricing starting June 18. It’s all about the faithful and quite generous customers who spend more than $99 a month per line, but there are also other conditions to meet.

If you want to find out if you’re eligible for an upgrade or not, you should visit AT&T’s stores on Thursday, June 18.
