You must be familiar with the iPhone’s SMS vulnerability, that scared all of the handset’s users a couple of weeks ago. Well, Apple got the info regarding the issue, but no word about a patch from them, just yet. The guy who discovered the problem, Charlie Miller will detail it tomorrow, at the Black Hat event.
Miller is a security expert and we’re looking forward to see his opinion on this serious issue and maybe even a solution. He claims that he told Apple about the vulnerability a month ago, but Cupertino kept quiet about it. Will we have to wait for iPhone OS 3.1 for the fix, or will Steve Job’s company release a patch earlier?
