You might remember that Apple sued HTC for infringing some patents, but the Taiwanese handset maker was quick to reply, suing the Cupertino giant back. Patent infringements were also cited and the matter is far from being finalized.
The US International Trade Commission is going to investigate HTC’s patent claims against Apple, as they’ve announced recently. At this moment both companies are suing each other for individual patents and ITC has already agreed to investigate Apple’s claims.
The purpose of these patent claims are stopping the other company’s products from entering the country and we have to remind that Nokia and Apple also have a similar dispute, to be settled in 2012.
