Here we are again, with one of Kyocera’s cool looking smartphones, that gets certified by the FCC and it gets rebranded too. From Kyocera DA 27 it becomes TORQUE X 01 (KYF 33) and will probably arrive on a variety of carriers.

Manufactured by Kyocera for the carrier KDDI, the handset passed FCC certification on February 3rd. The FCC ID is JOYDA 27 and this model comes with support for WCDMA and GSM, as well as Bluetooth and WiFi. Don’t expect any hardcore features, though, since aside from the design, this isn’t a very special device. It’s a clamshell with extra toughness and it’ll be on sale in late February.

It comes with a 3.4 inch screen offering a 480 x 854 pixel resolution and an IPS LCD panel. At the back there’s a 13 MP camera and specs also include LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and 1 GB of RAM, plus 8 GB of storage. The battery is a removable 1500 mAh unit and the phone is resilient to water and impact.
