Yesterday, the Japanese producer Kyocera announced a new rugged device that runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. The new phone is called DuraScout E6782 and arrives with IPX5 / IPX8 water and IPX6 dust proof certification.

Also, the new device offers MIL-810G certification for impact, vibration resistance, temperature resistance, rain-resistant low pressure, solar radiation resistance, salt water, and moisture. Inside its case we get a 4.5-inch HD LCD display (1.280 x 720 pixels) with Sapphire glass protection, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, and 2 GB of RAM.

There’s also LTE Cat.4, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 16 GB space of internal storage, a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor. Kyocera DuraScout E6782 brings in the package a 3.100 mAh battery that should give us enough power. The price isn’t available yet.
