Japanese company Kyocera released a few handset models over the past years in USA and now it’s preparing one more, dubbed Kyocera Hydro Plus and pictured below. The newcomer is coming to Cricket and its suggested retail price is around $139.99.
Just like the other Hydro models, this is a waterproof device, with IPX7 certification. That certification protects it against water immersion in up to 1 meter for up to 10 minutes. Specs aren’t that appealing, so you’ll probably want this device for its waterproof abilities. The Hydro Plus packs a 3.5 inch 320 x 480 pixel IPS display, a 3.2 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM-8655 processor.
It will also have 512 MB of RAM, a 4 GB microSD card on board and a battery good enough for 8.5 hours of talk time. While this model runs Android, its version hasn’t been revealed. This model will also be offered by Cricket Wireless off contract in the next days, with access to the carrier’s Muve Music 4.0 service.
