Dubai’s Khaleej Times has it on good authority that the world’s largest Apple Store will be opened in Dubai this summer. The debut will take place at the high end Mall of the Emirates and the store will measure 50.000 square feet.
Earlier this year Apple also opened its regional headquarters in Emaar Square, Dubai. In UAE, the iPhone is the second placed on the smartphone market, after Samsung models, but their market shares are almost the same. With Dubai being one of the richest cities in the Middle East and the world for that matter, the local public may be more interested in the special golden Apple Watch and golden iPhones, compared to other parts of the world.
The Apple Store from Dubai is not only the world’s largest, but also the first in the UAE. We expect a lot glass, marble and maybe even gold to adorn the location. As usual, the golden Apple Watches should be stored in safes. I wouldn’t be surprised if a celebrity music guest took part in the grand opening…
