Lenovo has debuted a new A Series phone, the A5000 in Russia and this model stands out through the fact it has a huge capacity battery for such a small diagonal. We’re dealing with a 5 inch handset here, with a 4000 mAh battery.

This device is priced at $232 and it brings Quick Charge, that will get the battery charge in 3 hours, while 15 minutes of charging will offer up to 4 hours of talk time. The 4000 mAh battery delivers up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 792 hours of standby time on 3G networks. There’s only 3G connectivity here, no trace of 4G LTE.

Lenovo A5000 is a dual SIM handset, with a micro SIM slot and regular SIM slot and it runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. There’s a 5 inch 720p screen on board, with an IPS panel and the handset is said to feature both rain and splash protection. Other specs include a quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and 8 MP main camera.
