There’s a new Lenovo phone in town, the A916 model, that’s shown below and seems to pay the role of a midrange phablet with LTE. This device has an octa core processor inside and uses Android 4.4.2 KitKat as the OS.

Its CPU is the famous MediaTek MT6592, clocked at 1.4 GHz. The handset uses a 5.5 inch IPS LCD 1280 x 720 pixel display and a 2 MP front camera for selfies, as well as a 13 megapixel back shooter. There’s LTE Category 4 support on its specs list, with a maximum download speed of 150 Mbps and upload of 50 Mbps. Lenovo A916 is a dual SIM handset with dual standby support and it also brings WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

Inside it we find 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a Lithium Polymer battery, with a capacity of 2500 mAh. The product comes in black or white and it’s priced at $228. It will be sold on China Unicom, apparently. The price is kind of big, considering what you can get for the same amount.
