Lenovo has just announced the start of sales for its new smartphone, the IdeaPhone S720, with a dual SIM setup. This handset is available in dark gray, white and hot pink and it’s priced at 9900 rubles, translated to $329, so not pricey at all, but the specs are not that good either.
The Lenovo S720 features a 9.9 mm thin body, it packs a 4.5 inch IPS display with qHD resolution, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and proprietary Super Camera system. There’s also Dolby Digital technology on board, a 2000 mAh battery, that should provide 17 hours of talk time and 10 days of standby functioning. The Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 packs a dual core 1 GHz processor (MTK 6577) and runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It weighs 140 grams and supports HSPA connectivity, at 7.2 Mbps maximum speed.
This dual SIM phone uses 4 GB of storage, 512 MB of RAM and a microSD card slot, plus the usual WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, AGPS and 3.5 mm audio jack. Come to think about it, the price is actually pretty big for these features, so I can’t say I’m excited about this model.
