Over the past years we’ve come in contact with phone makers that we are on the up and coming trend, like Elephone or Coolpad and now it’s time for LeTV. This is the fourth phone that LeTV made and it’s called the LeTV 1S or LeTV One S, if you like it like that. I should mention that LeTV was rebranded to LeEco recently. This model is priced at around $200.
The box reminds me of the one of an iPhone, seeing how it has that mystery silhouette of the phone on top. Inside the box we find a charger, USB cable, metal key used to access the slots and manual. There are no headphones bundled here. This model measures 7.5 mm in thickness and while the thickness is OK, the weight is on the fat side, at 168 grams, especially at 5.5 inches in diagonal.
This model has 3 GB of RAM to offer, up to 64 GB of storage and the MediaTek Helio X10 CPU. There’s also a 3000 mAh battery, an USB Type C port and a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD display. LTE and WiFi are also here, plus a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 MP front shooter. This model has a metal body with a fingerprint scanner at the back and what appear to be narrow screen bezels.
I said “appear”, because when the screen is on, they’re actually smaller. On top of Android 5.1.1 there’s EUI, a custom interface that doesn’t involve an app drawer. We’ll be back with a full review sooner than you think. The updated price is here.
