LG has just unveiled a new handset, the LG GD510, also dubbed “Pop”, a compact 3 inch full touchscreen phone, probably the most compact in the world, as they claim. The handset maker wanted to create a phone that’s got all the cool touchscreen features desired by the users, but without the extra bulk associated to them.

LG GD510 packs an 8GB internal memory, an user-friendly browser, a 3 megapixel camera with support for video capture and online sharing of content. The display is, as mentioned, a 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen, reaching the edges of the phone, with a narrow 4.8 mm bezel creating the illusion of the huge “sheet” of glass.

The new LG phone comes with a sleek design, sporting a single front button, used as to bring up the menu, but also as the end and cancel key. Expect the phone to hit Europe in mid-October, for a yet unknown price. Here’s a product movie of the compact full touchscreen device:
